National Disability Insurance Scheme – have your say

A national case is being developed to make significant improvements in the way people with a disability living in Australia receive an appropriate level of care and support.

The Productivity Commission (the Australian Government’s independent research and advisory body) has been asked to examine the feasibility, costs and benefits of replacing the current system with a new national disability care and support scheme.

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is being promoted by National Disability Services as the model that will transform the disability sector.

You may have comments, ideas or suggestions about the proposed new scheme, based on your own experiences as a person with a disability, or as a service provider, carer, family member, friend, employer or workmate of a person with a disability. Wesley Disability Services would like to encourage you to give your views.

Please click on the below links to find out more about the National Disability Insurance Scheme and how to make a submission.  Please note that the timescales for feedback have been extended.

If you have any questions or would prefer to give verbal feedback direct to us, please contact Jodie Howitt, Operations Manager, Life Skills and Community Living, Wesley Mission. Email Jodie.howitt@wesleymission.org.au or phone 02 8887 4845.
