Wesley Rehabilitation Services

  • Rehabilitation programme for homeless men and women 18yrs and over, recovering from addictive behaviours and associated underlying issues for a period of up to 2 years’ stay.

Noreen Towers Community

  • Transitional accommodation and programmed support for homeless families, from 6 to 9 months

Community Housing

  • Supported accommodation in 25 suburbs throughout metropolitan Sydney for homeless men, and women (over the age of 18 years) and families, up to 2 years’ stay

Ashfield Independent Living Program

  • Medium term accommodation for young people, 16 to 22 years, who are unable to reside at home and motivated to live independently.
  • Also offers training, mentoring, exit planning and aftercare

  • Medium term accommodation for young people, 16 to 22 years, who are unable to reside at home and motivated to live independently.

Handy Persons Maintenance Program

  • Aims to employ handy people for the minor maintenance of specific DOH properties
  • 5 DOH Sites are located in the Newcastle, Central Coast and in Miller area
  • Handy Persons Program also has a contract with Pacific Link Community Housing to provide minor maintenance to their Office of Community Housing properties
  • Handy Persons Programs also provide additional maintenance support to other Wesley Mission programs

Newcastle Accommodation and Welfare Services

  • Medium term semi-supported accommodation for single men and women and 3 families with the aim of moving clients towards independent living
  • The McKenzie Centre offers emergency food and cash relief and various other services
  • The Oasis Drop in Centre offers food, clothing, blankets, showers, washing machines and the opportunity to meet with a social worker

Short Term Units

  • Supported accommodation for homeless families for 3 months
  • Preference given to large families and families with a father or teenage boy

The Second Chance Program

  • Transition accommodation for ex-prisoners with low to medium support needs
  • Provided in combination with Wesley Uniting Employment’s Ex-prisoner Support Program
  • Located in Queanbeyan ACT

Inner West Case Management Team

  • Supports people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to obtain and/or sustain secure housing.
  • The team aims to help people break (or prevent) the cycle of homelessness.
  • Currently working mainly with residents of Edward Eagar Lodge
