What is LifeForce Memorial Day?
Lifeforce is a suicide prevention program dedicated to helping reduce the high rate of suicide in Australia. In this work we talk to many people bereaved by suicide. We offer this memorial service so that those who have been touched by suicide have a place to come together in the spirit of comfort and hope.
Conducted in an atmosphere of peace and serenity, the service is an opportunity to reflect and to remember loved ones. During the ceremony you will have an opportunity to cast a sunflower into Sydney Harbour as a gesture of love and remembrance.
If you would like to talk, counsellors and ministers will be available for you.
if you don’t, your silence and privacy will be respected. if you would prefer to watch from a distance or simply walk past, participation is at your discretion.
Losing a loved one to suicide is a sorrow unlike any other, but you are not alone. We hope you will join us and others who understand something of your journey.
