About us
Wagga Wagga & Region Suicide Prevention Network (WWRSPN) believes that people matter. We seek to inform and empower community members by creating awareness about suicide prevention.
Our network, made up of community members; representatives from community organisations; and local government agencies, meets monthly to determine and action network projects.
Our activities
9 September 2011
Blue Day event
On Friday 9 September 2011 we held “Blue Day” as a fundraising activity, and it was themed “It’s OK to Ask”.
We asked workplaces to register and wear blue to work on Friday 9 September to show support and raise funds for our network.
Over 50 workplaces participated and they received the attached poster and information pack with crisis cards and CD with resources that could be printed.
With the support of local businesses our network raised over $3,000 from the day and got local people discussing suicide myths, facts and prevention.
These funds have enabled us to print more crisis cards and initiate community SafeTALK training.
12 July 2011

Local community organisation, Riverina Bluebell, arranged a morning with the Governor of NSW on Tuesday 12 July in Wagga Wagga.
