John Wesley - Birth to Aldersgate, the first in a series of annual lectures to be given by Rev Dr Keith V Garner, brings us a gripping exploration of the life and times of one of the founding fathers of Methodism.

Through an intelligent and often wry examination of the various people and events that shaped the life and faith of John Wesley, Rev Dr Keith V Garner builds a fascinating picture of this charismatic preacher. The lecture covers social history as well as theology. It is of particular significance in the lead up to the bicentenary of the first meeting of the Methodist church in Australia.
