As we continue on the Series on dealing with Depression, Keith sits down to talk to Edward Hogg, a man who has accomplished many things in life but had to live under the shadow of depression. His depression was diagnosed at a time when people, especially men did not speak about it at all. He was admitted into Wandene Private Hospital where he was helped and supported to recovery. |

As we continue on our series on depression, Keith’s talk is on a wonderful reminder from the Bible for many people who live with depression on a daily basis. He has based his talk on the phrase, ‘His love endures forever’ which is found many times in the Psalms. |

This week we have Keith talking to Rachel Billington, a Cordon Bleu chef who has a great passion to take the Bible to others. Rachel Billington is all about reaching out to others - her neighbours, her friends, her friends’ friends. She has done this very naturally by opening her faith to others while using her gift as a chef to teach people to cook delicious food and in this case, Caramelized Onion & Feta Tart |

At the moment, the current housing market is forcing people to move to areas away from their families & friends. Wesley Mission is involved in creating opportunities for some of these people to connect with each other and form new support networks. We take a look at what’s happening at Rouse Hill Families Connect. |

On this Rise & Shine episode Keith talks to us about ‘Reaching Out’ to people in a way that commends Jesus Christ and introduces people to him in a gentle, personal and meaningful way. There are two key points that we must consider which are crucial to reaching out to others by walking with them. Watch this show for a powerful talk on reaching out to others. |

A few days ago, Keith released the latest Wesley Report to the Media. To put a very important face to this issue of the impact of bullying is Lyndal and her son Jono Denny who have been through the most painful time and have come through it stronger and ready to talk about it so they can help others. |
|
Craig Gower has given many memorable performances as well as accompanying all the artistes who come on Rise & Shine. We are delighted he is starting our Christmas season with a famous carol that relives the moment when the birth of Christ was first foretold by the Angel to Mary. It’s called ‘The Angel Gabriel’. Listen to Craig's performance on our online Advent Calendar. |

Today’s show is about the Wesley Report on the impact of bullying. So in the segment where we usually have a Wesley Mission story, we have with us a Wesley Mission staff - Christie O’Leary who works with our Wesley Newcastle Youth Services as a Community Development Project Worker. She is here to talk about this issue from a case worker’s perspective |

On this Advent Sunday, Rev Keith Garner talks about the true meaning of Advent, which can be found in …'the expectant sense of hope we experience as we look towards the remarkable events of the stable in Bethlehem, some 2000 years ago.' He looks at Luke 1 |
