‘Care and Compassion’ – Leigh Ramsay –  She Homes  - Cambodia

In our third show in a series on “Care and Compassion,” we meet a woman who was faced with a ‘call to action’ back in 2006.

Many of us feel challenged to help a stranger, but don’t know the first step to take.

Imagine being on holiday, only to have a twelve year old confront you with a plea to help find her friend who was going to be sold into slavery.

On my last night in Phnom Penh, my final meal was spent with a
twelve year old girl telling me “My friend, my friend. She is 10.
Two men tonight. Mother, father sell. You come, you help. Please…?”

Leigh Ramsey

Leigh shares “It was easy to feel constantly overwhelmed with the needs of these children, only to be reminded that “To Succumb to the enormity of the problem is to fail the one.”

‘Care and Compassion’ – Carolyn Stedman –  Foster Mum

take and not give in our world.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been looking into the realm of
‘Care and Compassion’ and what that really means.

God’s love in action for more than thirty years in the field of
Foster Care.

Carolyn’s story is one of 13 remarkable Australians featured in a book called “Bright Lights: Dark Nights”

Carolyn Stedman

Carolyn shares how she heard a radio interview about the desperate need for foster carers. She felt God was encouraging her to spread her love of motherhood to the lost and broken. Thirty years later Carolyn has cared for
