The financial crisis of 2007 to the present was triggered by a liquidity shortfall in the United States banking system resulting in downturns in stocks and bank bailouts around the world. And while concerns of another ‘meltdown’ has also died down, Committed Christian and Access Economics Chief, Ian Harper highlighted a very different kind of wave looming – A moral wave. |
| At Wesley Mission we invest in people. We like to go beyond what we see on the surface, especially with up and coming generations doing it tough.
One specific ‘portfolio’ for our staff, is to redirect youth who are often devoid of stability into an environment of encouragement and hope of a brighter future. |

In our first of a four-part series on the emotion of Shame we meet up with Pastor Martin Steel who has released a book on a topic that often gets ‘swept under the carpet’. After years of research he’s written about what Shame is and its different dimensions. And while it is a tormenting emotion it can also be transforming, when we are courageous enough to walk with God to unfold traumatic layers to find a way forward. |
Solid Rock, performing one of their favourites “God is there” |
