Anna Matthewson sings her own compilation called “Price to Live” The lyrics highlight the life of Jesus and how we too can choose to live a life of compassion to serve and help others.

At just 28 and with no history of cancer in her family, Stacey Charbachi was faced with the fight of her life.

Stacey also talks with Rev Keith Garner about the importance of getting regular check-ups.  At the time she thought the lump was due to pregnancy, the test results revealed a very different story.

Mother’s Day Special – ‘Climbing Mountains’

Imagine, the joy of the birth of your second child being washed away to emotions of fear and bewilderment.

In our Mother’s day program we meet an amazing woman who was diagnosed with breast cancer at just 28 years of age.

Four years on and the Brisbane mum has released a book featuring her journal writings and times with God during the darkest days of her treatment and recovery.   

Climbing Mountains is a honest and brave account of Stacey’s thoughts, fears and experiences to create an intimate story about her journey and the faith that carried her through.

And we meet a young mother of two who has written a book to encourage other mothers in their fight with breast cancer.

Wesley Mission’s Vision Valley

In our Wesley Mission Story we focus on a mum who also wanted to offer more for her twin daughters than she was able to provide.

We head out to Wesley Mission’s Vision Valley in Sydney to celebrate the merger of the Aunties & Uncles Program to our program stable and how the service pairs up wonderful mentors to walk along side and to help kids shine. 

The pair talk about how it all began and highlight they are musicians who are Christian not Christian musicians, who desire to spread the love of God.

Merelyn shares about her faith journey and personal details in her book. The mother, mentor and musician talks about her former life as a single mum and touring with children to realise a dream.  She also talks about surviving Black Saturday at her home in Kinglake and how her music in ministry has helped people heal.

For ten days each year the town of Tamworth literally doubles in size for the largest Country Music Festival in Australia.

In this week’s ‘Wesley Impact!’ we by-pass the buskers and boot scooters to discover an amazing award winning duo and their passion to share their faith through song.

David and Merelyn Carter, a talented award winning duo kick off the Tamworth Festival with the Carter & Carter Gospel Show.

'Teens in Trouble’ – Jacob Hill “Kids At War.”

Wesley Impact! Looks at Teens in Trouble.

For Jacob Hill his decision to try drugs - from the age of eight - was a way of escaping the breakdown of his parent’s marriage and subsequent divorce. Angry and hurt by his father’s infidelity and a sporting injury that dashed his dreams for international competition, Jacob began a life of self destruction.

Today he now heads up Teen Challenge out West, running the very program that changed his life.

Peter’s story is one of transformation.

After more than 2 decades of alcohol addiction, Peter is now working as an Assistant in Nursing at the very place where his healing journey began at Wesley Mission Hospital in Ashfield.
