Counselling

Wesley Mission offers free or low-cost counselling services for individuals and families. Our counselling services work to improve mental health in the community and provide the resources to keep minds well.

    Financial counselling

    Credit Line Financial Counselling provides free, independent and confidential face-to-face financial counselling. Our professional financial counsellors can help you if you are in financial distress or would like to manage your money more effectively.

    Gambling counselling

    Wesley Mission provides free counselling to help gamblers and their families overcome problems associated with gambling. We tailor a program to meet your needs and may include personal counselling, financial counselling, family member counselling and legal services.

    Community legal advice

    We provide free legal advice and assistance where legal issues have arisen due to problem gambling.

    Lifeline Sydney & Sutherland telephone counselling

    Lifeline Sydney & Sutherland offers telephone counselling 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We provide support to anyone needing emotional help or support.
    Call us at any time, day or night for the cost of a local call (mobile rates may vary).
    Lifeline Sydney & Sutherland train their own volunteer counsellors with a proven 43-year old program.

    Wesley Hospitals

    Wesley Mission operates two private psychiatric hospitals, one at Ashfield and the other at Kogarah. They offer a comprehensive range of treatments for mental illness which includes programs for:

    • alcohol dependency
    • drug addiction
    • eating disorders
    • anxiety
    • depression
    • bipolar disorder
    • borderline personality disorder
    • psychosis
    • veterans’ service-related trauma.

    LifeForce suicide prevention program

    Wesley LifeForce is a suicide prevention program aiming to educate, empower and resource local Australian communities. Our free seminars and workshops train participants to recognise when someone is at risk of suicide and how to take appropriate action. Thousands of people across Australia have been trained in this practical program. Wesley LifeForce is working with communities to develop suicide prevention networks, known as Life Networks. These networks develop locally-driven and locally-focused suicide prevention strategies.

    Spiritual help

    Counselling services are available to help you with personal issues, relationship counselling and spiritual growth. Ministers are available during office hours to meet and pray with you.
