Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday

Sunrise Service at 6.00am

Broadcast live on Channel Seven and simulcast on Hope 103.2 FM

As the sun rose on Easter Day, songs of praise from the Opera House echoed across Sydney Harbour. Special guests, Stan Walker and The Melbourne Gospel Choir sang with hundreds of people from all walks of life to celebrate the power and joy of Jesus’ resurrection.

Wesley Mission Superintendent, the Rev Dr Keith V Garner, led the service, preaching on the power to change, reflecting how Easter can be a new beginning for everyone.

“Our Easter message emerges from the deep suffering and resurrection of Jesus Christ,” Dr Garner said.

“We can rejoice that Jesus Christ comes to us in our situation.”

Special Guests

Stan WalkerStan Walker

In just under nine months Stan Walker has achieved the near impossible; evolving into one of the most refreshing and shining examples of talent the Australian music industry has to offer. Stan’s undeniable vocal-gift and engaging boy-next-door charm have already resulted in him successfully releasing a couple of top selling singles from his album “From The Inside Out”.

Was it luck, opportunity, or talent that brought Stan Walker to where he is today, standing on the brink of international success? “I don’t believe in luck,” he laughs, “Everything happens for a reason, and has its purpose – I thank God for giving me this opportunity to be here. Now it’s my time to take the stage and inspire others to make the most of their lives… and if they laugh, or sing-along to my songs on the way, well, that’s even better, eh?!”
