Wesley Mission Scrapbooking Competition Terms and Conditions
The Uniting Church in Australia Property Trust (N.S.W.) through Wesley Mission (ABN 57 996 964406) of 220 Pitt Street, Sydney NSW 2000 is the promoter.
Eligibility
1. Entry is open to Australian residents, excluding employees of Wesley Mission and Creative Memories Consultants.
2. This competition is divided into two age divisions:
- Under 18
- Over 18
3. All entrants must be of amateur status (ie persons who have earned less than $20,000 from scrapbooking over a 12 month period ending 30th June 2009). The Promoter reserves the right to request proof of earnings.
4. For each age category there are 3 Themes:

Sports Theme page
A gift card – any theme
Over 18:
Babies Theme Page
Celebrations Theme Page

Conditions of entry
5. Entries must be of a paper mounted layout and presented in a plastic sleeve so they are able to be displayed on a vertical display board.
6. Entries may be of any size but no larger than 12” X 12”. Cards not to exceed A5 in finished size.
Entry Period
7. Entry is permitted between 9.30 am (AEST) on 8 October 2009 and 11.00 am (AEST) on 8 October 2009.
Conditions of entry
8. All entries must be accompanied by an Entry Form which may be downloaded from Wesley Mission’s website (www.wesleymission.org.au/scrapbookcomp) and will be provided at the time and place of Entry. Details must be provided in all fields of the form being: the entrant's full name, phone number, mailing and email addresses and age (if under 18) and a title and category of the entry.
9. Entrants aged under 18 must submit their entry with a parent's or legal guardian's contact details. The parent or legal guardian will then be contacted to give consent for the under 18 entrant to be accepted into the competition.
10. Entries will be deemed as being received when payment of $5 for each entry or $10 for 3 entries (either in the same or different topic areas).
11. Each entrant may enter up to 3 entries in each topic area.
12. Entries must be collected after 3.00 pm on the 8th October. No facility for mailing of entries is provided.
13. As an optional condition of entering this competition, entrants who submit entries in the card topic area may donate them to Wesley Mission for sale on the day of Wesley Fair.
JUDGING
14. This promotion is a game of skill, and chance plays no part in determining the winners. Each entry will be individually judged based on artistic and creative merit by a team of judges with expertise in the field of scrapbooking.
15. Judging criteria are: layout, colour scheme, creative compilation, degree of difficulty, images chosen/impact, journaling, passion i.e. detail/effort/time/dedication.
16. The winning entries (one Winner and 1 Highly Commended Entry per age group and topic) will be announced at a Ceremony at 2 pm on Thursday 8th October. An ‘Expert Demonstration’ will also take place as part of the awards Ceremony. Entry to the Ceremony is by gold coin donation.
17. The winning entries including their entry details and image details will be displayed at www.wesleymission.org.au/scrapbookcomp from 9th October, 2009.
18. The winners will be notified by phone and email by Friday 9th October (if they are not present at the Award Ceremony) and their name published on the Wesley Mission website.
PRIZES
19. Each prize must be taken as stated. A prize cannot be transferred to any other person, unless agreed to by the Promoter.
20. The maximum total prize value is AUD $ 500 based on the value at the time of printing. Where a winner of a prize is less than 18 years of age, their prize will be awarded to them in the presence of their parent or legal guardian.
