Sydneysiders financially struggling before crisis

A survey by the Wesley Mission has found that large numbers of Sydneysiders were struggling to cope financially even before Australia began feeling the full effects of the global economic downturn.
Almost half of those surveyed in the December study had no savings and one in eight were on the verge of insolvency because they were spending more than they earned.
