Poetry prizes up for grabs
06 March 2012
If you’re not averse to penning a good rhyme, then here’s your chance to enter an international poetry competition associated with the Methodist Church.
Reaching Beyond is a Christian artistic event in East London (visual arts, poetry, community involvement), associated with the Olympics.
It will culminate in an exhibition at Bow Road Methodist Church between 23 July and 2 September 2012.
While some of the events will necessarily be confined to people in London, two poetry competitions – one for adults and one for children – are open to anyone with access to the internet.
The deadline for your 40-line contributions is 14 May and there are some generous cash prizes.
For more information, visit the competition at www.reachingbeyond.co.uk/poetry.
