Living with Mental Illness: Attitudes, Experiences and Challenges
Picture a room with 20 people.
Three of them are different. Why?
These are the people who lives have not been touched by Mental Illness.
The remaining 17 share a bond – they have either directly experienced mental illness (7) or they have a family member of friend who has suffered a mental illness.
On 30 July, 2007, Wesley Mission's Superintendent, Rev Keith Garner, launched The Wesley Report - Living with Mental Illness: Attitudes, Experiences and Challenges. This report delves under the surface of society's skin, revealing how the community feels about living in close proximity to those with a mental illness, as well as highlighting the everyday difficulties those with a mental illness face.
