Wesley Newcastle City Mission

Wesley Newcastle City Mission is a regionally based activity of Wesley Mission, providing assistance to over 20,000 people each year.

Wesley Newcastle City Mission was established in 1940 by a small group of Newcastle businessmen with the aim of assisting those in distress and poverty throughout Newcastle and the Hunter. From humble beginnings, it has grown into a dynamic welfare organisation assisting people in distress from Wyong to Singleton and Dungog and Cessnock to Port Stephens.

Since 1999 Newcastle City Mission has been part of Wesley Mission. This partnership has enhanced the capacity to deliver services to the community and provide a diverse range of programs. This includes emergency relief, youth programs, homeless support, counselling, professional development training and a retail market.
