Working strategically together through the development of significant internal partnerships ensured the last 12 months was very innovative at a leadership level.

The organisation supported the set up of a monthly Group Managers meeting where high level operational decisions affecting common business policy areas are discussed and recommendations made to the Senior Executive Leadership Team. Cross operational business support networks were established to discuss shared business issues collaboratively as needed – a great example of continuous improvement in management procedures which received commendation from our Audit & Risk team.

A new portfolio was also created for Education and Commercial Services under the leadership of a new Group Manager. The synergy and supportive relationships shared between these services has been extremely positive. New ideas for the future are on the drawing board.

Aged Care Services has expended great effort building on its systems, ensuring that effective technology is being harnessed to minimise manual documentation allowing more hours to be given to client care. Our Care Business Services has provided support with this system development and also assisted in the completion of a customer service charter which is made available to all clients entering a service.

This year also saw the development of a values training program – an outcome of the Wesley Mission Strategic Plan, which will become an integral part of the orientation program for new staff within the organisation. Our HR and Community Relations staff have driven this process to conclusion with great effectiveness.
