Lifeline Sydney & Sutherland offers 24-hour telephone counselling to anyone needing help or emotional support.
More than one million people seeking help contact Lifeline each year by telephone, email or in person. At Lifeline Sydney & Sutherland we take more than 20,000 calls each year.
People call us when they are alone, afraid or feel that life is not worth living. They call, too, when they have relationship or financial stresses. Callers talk about their health problems, unemployment, past traumas or problems with alcohol, drugs or gambling.
Whatever your reason for calling, our volunteer telephone counsellors are always here to work with you through your crisis, to help you manage your life and refer you to local services which can help you long-term.
