Creditline Services
Creditline’s experienced team of financial counsellors provide advice and support to disadvantaged members of our community who are facing financial problems.
Our range of services include one-on-one financial counselling, ongoing casework services, consumer education and legal services.
Creditline’s financial counsellors:
- Offer advice, analysis, negotiation, mediation and referrals
- Provide short-term crisis management and long-term prevention strategies
- Educate by suggesting options and passing on financial management skills such as budgeting and personal cash-flow management
Consumer Education
Our Consumer Education Service helps individuals to make informed choices when it comes to money matters. The service is open to the general public and includes workshops, training and training materials.
Participants include individuals who are experiencing financial hardship and stress, as well as those who are interested in financial issues facing our community. Interested parties include attendees from community centres, correctional centres, refuges, churches and other financial counsellors.
Legal Services
WESLEY COMMUNITY LEGAL SERVICE (WCLS)
WCLS is a unique community legal centre, filling an important need in the provision of legal services in NSW and Australia. It was established in 1994 to resource financial and gambling counsellors and their clients.
WCLS takes a multidisciplinary approach, and has particular expertise in:
- debt recovery and insolvency
- consumer credit
- criminal law
- family law

GAMBLING COUNSELLING LEGAL SERVICE (GCLS)
Wesley Community Legal Service operates a number of important initiatives and activities, including GCLS. The service provides free specialist legal advice and resources to gambling counsellors and their clients in NSW.
We offer legal information that is practical and relevant for those working to overcome gambling addiction. In particular, GCLS can assist with resolving:
- gambling-related crime
- gambling debt and protection of family assets
- family issues
- responsible Conduct of Gambling law and policy
