Wesley Accommodation
Support Services
Wesley Accommodation Service is funded by the Department of Ageing Disability and Homecare to provide accommodation options and support to people with disabilities. Its role is to provide a range of residential support for people with a disability who live in the community. Accommodation Services provide support to people with disabilities who are funded, either individually or through a project, and reside in a group home or their own accommodation. Wesley Accommodation Service supports people to gain skills and provides opportunities for people to live as independently as possible in the community. The group homes follow the model of shared accommodation where the people living in the house pay rent and work together with staff support, to make decisions about how the household will run. Wesley Accommodation Service meets the requirements of the Department of Ageing Disability and Homecare, conforms to the Disability Services Act NSW (1993) and the Disability Services Standards. Wesley Accommodation Service provides a range of staff supports including 24 hour staff support in a group home style of accommodation, individual support in self contained flats attached to the group home or Individual support in the person's home. ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION People seeking a service from Wesley Accommodation Services in a group home or their own accommodation are subject to meeting the entry criteria and the resources available within the service. The following criteria is used to assess eligibility of a person joining the service:
FEES AND CHARGES The Wesley Accommodation Service charges 75% of the Disability Support Pension (including rental assistance) for accommodation support. Wesley arranges a system of direct withdrawals to meet the person's fees and charges fortnightly. Contact Details
