The policies follow the requirements of the Disability Services Standards and NSW Dept of Ageing Disability and Homecare "“Standards In Action" Wesley reviews policy and procedures annually and service users, carers,
families, guardians, advocates are invited to be involved in the review. Management are committed to applying Wesley Mission's Vision, Values Mission and Philosophy of Care by creating and maintaining a safe and healthy working and living environment for all service users, employees, contractors, visitors and volunteers. Managing, promoting and maintaining occupational health and safety is integral to the Mission's continuous improvement process. Employees are required to comply and co-operate with the Mission's OH&S Policy, Program and Procedures. Wesley Disability Support Services seeks the co-operation of all employees, residents, consumers, service users, volunteer and contractors in realizing our health and safety objectives and a safer and healthier working and living environment. Wesley Disability Services Occupational Health and Safety
representatives assist staff and service users in the identification of
hazards, provide information, make recommendations on issues of OH&S and
involve the Occupational Health and Safety Manager.
