Job Services Australia
Wesley Uniting Employment provides employment based solutions under the federal government’s Job Services Australia program from 13 locations across New South Wales and three locations in South Australia.
Through Job Services Australia, WUE provides a range of services for eligible Clients to overcome barriers to employment and to place them into work:
- registering their resume on a national jobsearch database
- matching skills and abilities to jobs
- training in job seeking skills and techniques
- provide a detailed assessment of jobseekers skills and needs to gain and keep employment
- referral to training providers to gain and upgrade skills needed to get work
- assistance with writing job applications
- provide financial assistance to eligible jobseekers to gain skills and licences needed for employment
- provide motivational support to start and keep work
- access to wage subsidies to help eligible jobseekers start work
- assistance with non-vocational assistance such as finding accommodation and dealing with issues of substance abuse
There are various levels of assistance available under Job Services Australia depending on individual circumstances. Eligibility will be checked before a final decision on assistance is provided.
Wesley also offers a range of FREE services for employers under Job Services Australia:
- registering their vacancies on a national database of jobs
- matching jobseekers to their vacancies
- pre-screening jobseekers to ensure only suitable jobseekers are referred
- assistance with arranging interviews, and in some cases, providing access to interview facilities if needed
- intensive post placement support to ensure the right applicant has been placed with the employer
- access to jobseekers eligible to attract wage subsidies under certain conditions of employment
