Wesley Mission, a Parish of the Uniting Church in Australia, has been involved in serving homeless people in Sydney in three different centuries. For many years the Mission operated a night shelter in Francis Street.
The philosophy of Wesley Mission Supported Accommodation Services is based on Christian principles, providing the best quality care services for homeless people. Regardless of gender, race, colour or creed we use our resources on the basis of priority of need. Our approach is holistic, to meet the physical, psychological, social, vocational and spiritual needs of those whom we can help.
We focus on enhancing the dignity and self-esteem of all our clients, recognizing the rights of all residents to freedom of choice, privacy, a safe and secure environment, personal rights and responsibilities. All persons are encouraged to reach their full potential as human beings and to live as independently as possible in the community.
