To prepare for admission, see our admissions checklist.
Appointments can be made to consult a psychiatrist without the need for admission. A referral from a GP is required.
Private health insurance
Admissions are available to patients with private health insurance or who have alternate means of funding their treatment. We are registered with the NSW Department of Health, and have agreements with the Department of Veterans Affairs and all private health insurance funds including HCF, Medibank Private, Bupa and AHSA.
Accommodation charges are refunded by your health insurance fund, according to your level of cover and your insurer’s agreement with the hospital. Your psychiatrist will charge a separate fee for their services.
Federal government initiatives
have ensured that the maximum waiting period to obtain full private health insurance cover is two months. You may wish to check with your insurer regarding your level of cover or learn more about obtaining health insurance cover
