Families and carers

Wesley Hospital’s patients are represented by a Consumer and Carer Advisory Committee. The committee meets regularly to discuss a range of topics and provides valuable representation in a range of areas relating to in-patient care.

Wesley Hospital’s Consumer and Carer Committee is made up of former patients of Wesley Hospital and carers who are experienced in caring for people suffering from mental illness.

In-patients can air their views at community meetings attended by representatives of Wesley Hospital’s Consumer and Carer Committee. These opinions and ideas are then relayed to Wesley Hospital by the committee, who work in collaboration with Wesley Hospital management to respond to issues as required.
