Post-treatment support for bipolar disorder
It is essential that you or your loved one has post-treatment support following treatment for bipolar disorder.
Support network
An important element of post-discharge support is establishing a support network. We help you set up a support network which might include:
- friends
- family
- general practitioner
- psychiatrist, psychologist or counsellor
- local community health team.
Day patient program for bipolar disorder
Post-treatment support is also provided through a range of day patient programs which extend the skills learned during our treatment program for bipolar disorder. Find out more about day patient programs.
Steps to recovery from bipolar disorder
- trust your support network
- see our treatment program as a new beginning
- take care of yourself
- ask questions about our treatment, including medications and their possible side effects.
