The Emma Hansen Lifeline Scholarship Fund
Introduction:
The Emma Hansen Lifeline Scholarship Fund was established on May 1, 2008, by Lifeline Sydney & Sutherland in the name and memory of one of our volunteer telephone counsellors, Emma Hansen.
Purpose:
The purpose for this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to those individuals with a keen desire and commitment to pursue training to be a Lifeline Counsellor and who meet the following criteria:
- NSW permanent resident
- Require financial assistance
- At least 25 years of age
Eligibility - All applicants must:
- demonstrate financial need.
- submit The Emma Hansen Lifeline Scholarship Fund application form. Forms will be available online from 26th April.
- submit all information requested including referees and work history.
- demonstrate community involvement (both past and present)
- demonstrate commitment and achievement in a variety of areas and ways some of which may include:
- school involvement/activity/participation
- noteworthy achievements
- awards and recognition
- special talents
The Emma Hansen Lifeline Scholarship will be distributed to potential candidates who reside within the defined geographical boundaries of Lifeline Sydney and Sutherland.
The Emma Hansen Lifeline Scholarship Fund Selection Panel does not discriminate by race, national origin, disability, creed or gender.
APPLICATIONS FOR THE EMMA HANSEN LIFELINE SCHOLARSHIP FUND WILL OPEN ON THE 26TH APRIL.
