Approximately one month of follow-up tasks and assessment follows the course, and if invited, trainees begin their 12 month commitment which must include regular fortnightly telephone counselling shifts (100 hours including 4 overnight shifts), 3 units of Counsellor Development and 4 Group Supervision sessions.

NOTE: Attendance at a 2 day Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) course is included in the course. Trainees select either course. Attendance is only required at one, not both.
