Here's why we need your help
Become an Operation Hope volunteer
Sponsoring children
In 2008, we were able to give 220 sponsored children the gift of hope. But at each camp there were up to 10 children who we were forced to turn away - that's 150 children we couldn't help because of a lack of funds. A gift of $700 would cover the complete costs of an Operation Hope camp for one child.
Training and supporting leaders
Our volunteer camp leaders selflessly give their time to invest in the lives of disadvantaged children. Many of them also pay for their own food and accommodation, giving both time and money. We would love to be able to support our leaders financially, and also to hold more training camps to equip more passionate young people to become great leaders. A gift of $150 would pay for training for one camp leader.
Making camp a great experience
Providing 24-hour care and activities for children involves significant costs — from staff, sports equipment and outdoor adventure facilities, to food and accommodation. A gift of $350 to cover a portion of food and accommodation for one child, while a gift of $60 will help to cover the costs of recreational activities.
Supporting the wider work of Operation Hope
Wesley Mission would like to be able to bring hope to more families who are experiencing disadvantage than we presently have funds to support.
Your generous gift could help us provide the wider range of services that can really make a difference in the lives of disadvantaged children and their families.
Please send a gift today and help us give more children the gift of hope ![]()
