The Hills Family Centre
The Hills Family Centre is a joint venture between Wesley Mission and Castle Hill Uniting Church. The Centre has been providing services to families within the Baulkham Hills Shire for the past 15 years. It is the only service of its kind within the Shire and therefore plays an important role in the infrastructure of human services for the area.
The Hills Family Centre offers a diverse range of services including:
- Home and Centre based Family Work
- Parent Education programs
- Fathers support groups
- Therapeutic group work programs for parents and children
- Children’s living skills and therapeutic group work programs
- Domestic violence and court support
- After hours Adolescent and Family Counseling
- Family support: child protection early intervention focus, working with families with children and adolescents 0–20 years experiencing domestic violence, parenting issues, separation grief and loss
- Referral, information and advocacy
- Supported playgroups and craft groups
- Counselling (couple or individual within the context of family work), court support, therapeutic group work programs for parents and children.
- After Hours Counselling and Parent Education Program — Family and Adolescence counsellors located at Rouse Hill and Castle Hill
A wide range of groups are offered each school term at a reasonable cost. The groups are designed to provide skills, information and knowledge for families, young people and children within the community. The group program changes each term. Occasional care is available for children 0–5 years while their parents attend groups.
Bookings for group activities and child care are essential.
