Dungog Family Support
Dungog Family Support is a service funded through DoCS Families NSW as an Early Intervention Program for new parents with children 0–8 years in the Dungog, Patterson and Gresford areas north of Maitland. This service assists families with parenting support, supported playtimes, referrals to other services and assists transport to health services.
Dungog Family Support Centre offers a diverse range of services including:
- Home Visiting
- Family support advocacy and group work to families in the Dungog Shire.
- Available to parents in the antenatal period to helping prepare for the birth of their child.
- Vulnerable families with children aged up to eight years.
- Parents expecting or caring for a new baby.
- Parents caring for infants or young children.
- Offering services to help families with child behaviour issues
- Parent support and education
- Understanding of child development and referral to other services if required
- Counselling
- Support advocacy
- Group work to families in the Dungog Shire
