Quakers Hill Family Centre
The Quakers Hill Family Centre is a joint venture between Wesley Mission and the Uniting Church Quakers Hill working with disadvantaged families living within a number of the Blacktown LGA suburbs since the early 1990’s.
Quakers Hill Family centre provides a range of services to families which include the following:
- Home and Centre based family work
- Parent Education groups
- Life skills groups
- Families of Prisoners Support
- Domestic violence groups
- Father’s groups
- Supported Playgroups
- Family support: child protection early intervention focus working with families with children 0–16 experiencing difficulties i.e. domestic violence, communication and conflict resolution, parent education and separation grief and loss.
- Referral, information and advocacy
- Generic family support
- Breakfast clubs in a number of Schools
- Domestic Violence referral service linked with Quakers Hill Police
- Counselling (couple or individual within the context of family work), advocacy, court support therapeutic group work programs for parents and children
- Multicultural Family work
- OOSH — Before and After School care and Vacation Care
- Families of Prisoners Project (Research and Development) — community education and training special focus on provision of training for community services and family support workers on the specific issues facing families of prisoners including first time and generational imprisonment of a family member.

Before and After School Care and Vacation Care
The Quakers Hill Family Centre Outside of School Hours Care Services were established in 1997. The Centre has developed into a high quality service which caters for the needs of the local community and is fully accredited the National Childcare Accreditation Council.
We believe all children have the right to develop to their fullest potential in a caring, safe, positive, happy and creative environment. Our quality varied program reflects the value of play and social interactions for children in middle childhood. We rejoice in the diversity of the community and celebrate the enrichment it can bring to our lives. All children’s needs are considered when planning and implementing the diverse program of developmentally appropriate activities.

A team of qualified staff are dedicated to providing high quality services and a high level duty of care for the children in all our programs.
Every day is ‘Family Open Day’ at our centre. Parents are welcome any time and are encouraged to visit our centre and participate in activities with their children.
