‘Transformation’ – dead end to destiny

As we wrapped up recording for 2011 we had many
favourite shows that viewers wanted us to share again.

This week we highlight one show in our transformation series.

Phil McKay was a man who walked away from a lucrative business that brought accolades but little satisfaction within.

His story is one that will encourage us all to see our God given talents in a very different light.

After years working as a skilled and highly sort after panel artist for bikies and hot rod owners, the dark images he painted brought a ‘check’ in his heart.

He asked God to help him find a better way. In the days that followed he quit his career only to find God opened another job opportunity as a bible illustrator.

At Wesley Mission our focus is also on helping to equip and encourage people to fulfil their destiny.

Newcastle Youth Services sailing program is just one way where mentors help to steer youth through the rough seas to make better choices in life.

Endless Praise is one Australia's most popular gospel singing groups. A full-time internationally known music ministry committed to spreading the gospel through music.

Their song choice for today’s show highlights that no matter what we go through God is there.

Ken Duncan – the bigger picture – working with God.

Welcome to the Wesley Impact! highlight series as we take a look at some of our viewer favorites for 2011.

On Good Friday last year we met up with one of Australia’s best known landscape photographers.

Ken Duncan has taken snapshots around the world, from African Safari to the Antarctic right through to the Aussie outback. He’s even been held up by Hamas while trying to capture the beauty of the Holy Land!

Ken shares that it is his faith and walk with God that has been the key to his success in taking that ‘perfect picture’. For more information on his work visit www.kenduncan.com This link opens in a new browser window

Ken Duncan

Ken Duncan - Ken talks about the ‘near misses’ with the Taliban while capturing snapshots in Israel and The Sea of Galilee for the book “Where Jesus Walked”.

Keith and Ken - Ken Duncan shares with Keith Garner about the power of words. The well renowned photographer encouraging others to never give up on your dreams after once being told by an economics teacher that he was the person most likely never to amount to anything.

Ken Duncan’s mission statement is to “show the beauty of God’s creation” through his photos.

At Wesley Mission we share the message of God’s unfailing love for us in how we support others though programs like Out of Home care.

In this episode we share part one of Peter and Vicki’s story.
