Fostercare Caseworkers

Castle Hill and Penrith

Wesley Mission is seeking case workers to join the Dalmar Out-of-Home Care teams at Penrith and Castle Hill. You will work with children, birth parents and foster carers, as well as be involved  in the recruitment, assessment and training of new carers.

Essential criteria:
•  Degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Psychology or related discipline
•  Flexibility to work some evenings and occasional weekends
•  Current unrestricted driver’s licence and use of own fully insured vehicle
•  Ability to work as a part of a team and independently
•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•  Demonstrated ability to write reports to a professional standard

Previous employment with children and families as well as experience in Out of Home Care and experience in Adult Education would be an advantage. New graduates are also encouraged to apply.

The agency provides regular supervision and support for all staff and opportunities for professional development. Salary and conditions of employment are based on the S.A.C.S. award (Grade 3/4 depending on qualifications).

Operations Support Manager

We have a full-time opportunity in our Health, Counselling and Rehabilitation Services (HCR) area for an experienced Operations Support Manager.  For the right person we are offering an attractive salary including salary packaging benefit and motor vehicle allowance.

Based in Carlingford, this exciting new role includes the coordination of multiple projects, developing brochures and newsletters, providing reports to develop the HCR portfolio and providing administrative support to the Group Manager HCR.

To be successful in this role you must have demonstrated experience in organising a busy administration office, event organisation and coordinating multiple projects. You will have an ability to produce high quality reports, brochures and newsletters using Microsoft Office. High level office computer skills, including Microsoft Office are also imperative to this role along with a current NSW drivers license.

A tertiary qualification in business/marketing or equivalent would be an advantage.

Maintenance Officer

Full time (after initial probationary period)

Wesley Mission is one of Australia’s largest church and christian welfare organisations.

We are currently seeking the services of a Maintenance Officer to assist in undertaking the many maintenance tasks required in a busy conference centre.  This position will require manual labour. The position is situated at Vision Valley, Arcadia NSW.

After an initial period of working in a casual capacity, there is opportunity for the successful applicant to move into a full time position in the near future.

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous experience as a handyman, or trade
  • Customer service skills

The successful applicant will be well presented, punctual, professional, enjoy accepting challenging tasks and be a person committed to teamwork.  The successful applicant will enjoy flexibility of tasks and is a decision maker.  This would be a rewarding position for someone who enjoys working with people and with a variety of challenges.

Salary will be negotiated.

Respite Disability Support Worker

Are you a passionate Disability Support Worker?

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to work for us as a Respite Direct Support Professional.

Essential Criteria:

  • Must hold a current drivers licence
  • Must have First Aid certificate or be willing to obtain one with in the first 3 months of employment
  • Be able to work rostered shifts
  • Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills including the ability to process emails 
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate work load and service-monitoring processes
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised person to ensure the effective operation of our services. You will work closely with families, guardians and other professionals. In return we will provide excellent working conditions, regular program support and supervision and training.

To be successful in the role you will need experience working with people with intellectual disability with high support needs.  You will hold a current drivers license and be able to drive a manual van.  You must have First Aid certificate or be willing to obtain one within the first 3 months of employment. 

Experience in managing a service and demonstrated leadership and management skills along with a demonstrated ability to work within allocated budget will also be an advantage.

Accommodation Support Worker

Work with us and make a difference as a Direct Support Professional

• Permanent Part Time positions, SACS Award grade 2 + penalties + salary packaging

Positions exist in our Accommodation program.

To be successful in this role you must hold a current drivers licence and must have First Aid certificate or willing to obtain within first 3 months of employment

You will need to be available to work 24hrs 7 days week roster including weekends and awake nightshifts. You will have good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and basic computer skills including ability to process emails.  Demonstrated ability to coordinate work load and service monitoring processes and proven ability to work as part of a team will also help you succeed in this role.

International Programs Coordinator

As a key member of WVI’s international team, the successful candidate will ensure the smooth running of the college and to meet operational goals.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Relevant work experience in a RTO student services environment and a qualification in business/ administration or a related area
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a customer service team
  • Time management, organisational and administrative skills and experience
  • An ability to interpret and explain regulations, policies and procedures in the student service areas of operation, including admissions, selection and enrolments, processing of results, student administration world be an advantage
  • Maintain a current NSW driving license

Desirable

  • Cert IV in TAA
  • Experience in the use of VETtrak, student management system

Other Job Related Information

This full-time position is located in the International Program office in Carlingford and may require travel to other locations for specific events
With advance notice the incumbent may be required to attend information and training sessions, some of which may be outside normal working hours

We are currently seeking outdoor Activity Facilitator’s to join the busy Valley Adventures Department at Vision Valley, Arcadia NSW.

Essential Criteria: 

  • Highly developed group facilitation and organisational skills;
  • Experience and skills in working or participating in outdoor activities;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Be self motivated with the ability to prioritise tasks;

Desirable Criteria:

  • Certificate 3/ 4 or Diploma in Outdoor Recreation;
  • Teaching experience;

The successful applicant will be well-presented, professional and enjoy accepting challenging tasks. Onsite training will be provided.

Salary will be in accordance with the Hotels, Motels and Accommodation (State) Award.
