Aged Care Centre Manager

Wesley Mission is a Christian based organisation; we work with the most disadvantaged in our community by providing over 200 services ranging from aged care, homeless services, child and family care, counselling, employment, training and education health services.
Through Witness, hard work and with the help of supporters we can make positive change in the lives of our clients.
We now have a great opportunity for an experienced Aged Care Manager to join the Wesley Mission Residential Care & Independent Living Team. The role is based at the WG Taylor Village site in Narrabeen and consist of 74 ageing in place beds and 24 Independent Living Units.
The Manager reports to the Residential Care Services Manager, has five direct reports and a team of 30 nursing and non nursing staff. The key responsibilities include leadership and monitoring of care services, operational oversight of the business including financial management, staff management and quality & compliance monitoring.
This interesting and diverse role would suit a highly supportive and positive person who possesses excellent communication skills and extensive people management experience in the Aged Care industry.
Essential criteria:
- Aged Care Management experience
- Working knowledge of the Aged Care Funding Instrument and the Accreditation process within Residential Aged Care
- Ability to lead and support staff in a complex business environment
- Computer literate with budgeting and financial analysis skills
Desirable criteria include:
- Knowledge and experience of the Retirement Villages Act
- Excellent negotiation and liaison skills

Sales and Guest Relations Coordinator
Vision Valley Recreation & Enterprise Services
- Full Time Position
Located in Arcadia, in North West Sydney, Vision Valley is seeking an experienced and trained event coordinator to work with Sales & Guest Relations team. Reporting to the Manager and working closely with our Hospitality, Accommodation, Valley Adventures and Horse Centre teams you will play a key role in all aspects of Sales & Guest Relations.
As a Sales & Guest Relations coordinator you will create opportunities, generate new business, facilitate site visits, liaise with incoming groups, coordinate their onsite experience and secure their follow-up booking.
This position requires a professional attitude, great customer service, well-embedded leadership skills, and the ability to handle logistical information and multiple demands.
This position is 40 hours per week, working Tuesday to Saturday.
Essential Criteria:
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Demonstrated experience in Sales & Guest Relations or a similar role
- Outstanding communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with key stakeholders
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as the ability to take initiative & work alone
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Strong computer skills including intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- A firm understanding of Work Health & Safety
- Public speaking skills and experience
- First Aid training (Senior or equivalent)
- Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
Desirable Criteria:
- Qualifications in Business Administration, Event Management, or Hospitality

Catering Assistant
RE Tebbutt Lodge
Wesley Mission’s R E Tebbutt Lodge is a 68 bed facility with ageing in place and is a not-for-profit organisation committed to providing outstanding care for our residents.
Located at Dundas we are seeking a committed and experienced Dining Room/Kitchen Assistant to work permanent part-time (12 hours per week).
Successful applicant must be prepared to work a variety of Kitchen/Dining room shifts including Morning, Afternoon and Evening and also be willing to train and undertake duties as a cleaner, when required.
The successful applicant must have:
- Experience in working in a Dining Room/Kitchen Setting, preferably in an aged care facility
- Knowledge of kitchen and cleaning processes, systems and equipment, including HACCP
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
- Good understanding of OH&S and Infection Control
Desirable Criteria:
- A food handling certificate
- Aged Care Experience
- Certificate 3 in Aged Care

We are seeking an Acquisition officer to join our Fundraising team. This direct marketing role is vital to the team. New donors have to be are acquired to ensure a sustainable fundraising income for Wesley Mission.
This role is responsible for all areas of donor acquisition from a busy timetable of direct mail acquisition to managing the face to face fundraising program An important part of this role will be testing new channels for acquiring donors.
Essential skills/knowledge:
- 3+ years experience with demonstrable results in a fundraising, direct marketing, online marketing or related discipline
- Design and implementation of donor acquisition campaigns
- Project management skills
- Ability to work with suppliers such as mailhouses
- Proven experience to grow revenue
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated accuracy and thorough attention to detail
- Excellent time management, multi tasking and follow up skills
- Computer competence, especially using databases, Microsoft Office Word and Excel
- Data analysis and Database experience
