Regional Operations Coordinator

Wesley Vocational Institute - Sydney

  • Sydney Regional office - currently located in Mascot

Wesley Vocational Institute is a registered training organisation providing vocational education and training opportunities to a variety of client groups. 

Our Sydney Regional Office, currently located at Mascot will soon be relocating to Carlingford, and is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated professional to coordinate training programs, ensure services are delivered in an effective and efficient manner and identify opportunities for growth and development. The successful applicant will possess:

Essential:

  • Experience working in an education or training environment.
  • Sound knowledge of the AQTF, relevant training / education legislation and regulatory requirements for delivery and assessment of training services.
  • Highly developed communication skills and the ability to relate effectively at all levels both internal and external to the organisation.
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office suite of applications.
  • Current NSW Driver’s Licence.

Desirable:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

Regional Manager - Newcastle/Hunter Region

Wesley Newcastle City Mission

Wesley Newcastle City Mission provides care and community services throughout the Hunter. An opportunity now exists to support this organisation in a leadership role, ensuring its future success.  A dynamic and experienced person is required to carry out the role of Regional Manager. 

The successful applicant will:

  • Demonstrate high level of leadership and managerial skills in a multi-faceted organisation within community services.
  • Promote collaboration and build partnerships within and across all aspects of service delivery, on a regional level in Newcastle and with other services in Wesley Mission as well as with external third parties. 
  • Work with the Newcastle Executive Team (NET) to identify opportunities for ongoing service support to the local community and manage appropriate PR & fundraising contacts and agreed targets.
  • Where problems are identified within Newcastle service groups, ensure that appropriate Operations Managers are informed fully of the issues and provide support as appropriate until remedial action is undertaken.
  • As Regional Manager accept responsibility for the general administrative oversight and performance of the local office and fundraising budget. 
  • Experience in working with media outlets to ensure positive recognition of organisational activities.
  • Have previous experience in working within a highly regulated & collaborative environment and measuring efficiencies and effectiveness of services within a KPI framework
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the values and Christian principles of the Wesley Mission through values driven management practice as well as personal modelling of these values and principles to all staff, volunteers, customers/clients and stakeholders

Assistant Registrar

Wesley Institute

Wesley Institute, a registered Higher Education Provider, is looking for a full-time Assistant Registrar who will assist the Registrar in all aspects of academic and student administration.   The position will be based at our Drummoyne NSW campus.  

The applicant must meet the following essential criteria:

  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently as part of a team
  • Proven ability to prioritize work in order to meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to work independently and deal with people on all levels
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills using MSOffice and the Internet
  • Demonstrated high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Knowledge and experience in tertiary education and eMinerva or similar database will be highly regarded.

Coordinator - Community Aged Care Packages

We are seeking a motivated and experienced person to join our Wesley Community Support Services Team for Program Coordinating Community Aged Care Packages (CACP’s) in the Liverpool, Bankstown and Fairfield LGA

Essential Criteria:

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification
  • Experience in Program / Case Management for older people
  • High level of interpersonal, verbal and written skills
  • Demonstrated experience in provision of professional supervision of staff, team building and leadership 
  • Competent level of computer literacy – (minimum Word & Excel)
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence Class C

Desirable Criteria:

  • High level ability to liaise, network and maintain relationships with professional bodies

Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the SACS award (Grade 4). Salary Packaging Opportunities and Training Provided.

Team Leader

Wesley Family Services

Cumberland Brighter Futures Early Intervention Program

The purpose of the program is to: promote healthy development of children; promote strong, functional and well supported families; reduce and prevent child abuse and neglect; and enhance community capacity to support families.

The Team Leader will manage case work practice, build and maintain relationships that enhance service delivery and provide clinical supervision to staff.

Essential:

  • Tertiary qualifications(s) in: Psychology, Social work, Social Science or related fields
  •  Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft office suite
  • Demonstrated experience of strengths based, solution focused practice
  • Demonstrated experience in child centred and family focused work with knowledge of early intervention, case management, parenting programs and early childhood development and multi-functional teams
  • Demonstrated experience in the supervision of case workers
  • Ability to facilitate case reviews and family conferences
  • Proven ability to network and maintain relationships with staff, families, partner agencies, professional groups and government bodies
    Knowledge of Domestic Violence, Child protection, A & OD and Mental Health
  • Current NSW Driver’s Licence

Desirable:

  • Working knowledge of SCARF case management practice
  • Working knowledge of the Parramatta, Auburn and Holroyd Local Government areas
  • Experience in working within an ISO 9000 accredited organisation

Salary and conditions of employment for all positions are in accordance with the NSW SACS Award Grade 5 salary range ($52,053 - $54,336) + super, with salary package available after a 3 month probationary period. The position also comes with a fully maintained motor vehicle.
