Operations Assistant

Mental Health & Counselling Services, Wesley Mission

Do you have an interest in or passion for working with a leading community services provider?

We currently have an exciting new role for an Operations Assistant to join the Wesley Mission Mental Health & Counselling Services team in our Ashfield office. You will be a strong team player, be highly organised and work closely with the Business Manager and Executive Manager to provide a high standard of administrative support services.

Some of your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Coordinate activities across the various teams within Mental Health & Counselling Services
  • General administration and organisational tasks; including organisation of meetings, diary management and preparation of documents
  • Provide support at business meetings by taking minutes and adding value to discussions
  • Ensure the smooth running of the office including procurement and other site services
  • Preparation of documents, presentations and reports for various stakeholder meetings

To be considered for this role, the following is highly desirable:

  • Proven experience in a team support or assistant role (experience in the community services sector is desirable but not mandatory)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and potential conflicting priorities
  • An open and approachable communication style
  • Excellent approach to building rapport with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Proactive approach to learning and contribution to business operations and services

Dietician

Wesley Hospital Ashfield

  • 5 month maternity cover position (3-4 days per week) for Wesley Eating Disorder Centre
  • Reputable Private Hospital in Inner West Sydney

Wesley Hospital Ashfield is a 38 bed mental health facility located in Milton Street Ashfield, offering an extensive range of inpatient and day patient services. We have gained an excellent reputation in the private and public sector for providing quality and ethical care. As a teaching hospital of the University of New South Wales and The University of Sydney, we are also involved in teaching dietetic, medical, clinical psychology, art psychotherapy and nursing students.

We currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Dietician to join our dynamic team. This role will sit within the Wesley Eating Disorder Unit, a 12-bed inpatient unit which specialises in the treatment of Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and other eating disorder presentations. All patients transitioning to our day program continue to have individual and group dietetic input. A third of the role also includes services to our day program, which runs 5-days per week.

To apply for this role you must have:

  • A full Accredited Practicing Dietician status with the Dieticians Association of Australia
  • Experience in developing and facilitating nutritional education groups and counselling of patients with eating disorders, general mental health, drug and alcohol issues
  • Experience working in foodservice management and willingness to eat meals with patients
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise a complex workload and work independently in consultation with a multi-disciplinary team

You will have a reputation for empowering your teams, delivering quality outcomes and managing complex situations effectively. Essential Criteria

  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Demonstrated experience providing great customer service
  • Demonstrated business acumen and current business development skills
  • Demonstrated experience in reporting on financial and organisational targets to internal and external stakeholders including acquittal and accrual accounting practices
  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce or Finance
  • Demonstrated ability to provide strong leadership which empowers your team to succeed

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience managing people and projects with private education organisations
  • Completed Certificate IV TAE or TAA
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated experience auditing and maintaining compliance functions within an RTO
  • Demonstrated knowledge of issues surrounding the establishment, design and coordination of nationally accredited training

Clinical Support Officer

Dalmar Clinical Services

  • Part time position
  • 1  x position in Gosford and 1 x position in Maitland area

Wesley Dalmar as a result of enhanced funding is developing a range of support services to assist children and young people in Out-of-Home Care. We are currently seeking two Clinical Workers in the Gosford and Maitland areas for an exciting hands-on role where you will be part of a dynamic team that provides assessment, intervention and facilitates access to appropriate community resources and services.

Essential Criteria

  • A degree in Psychology, Social Work or Welfare
  • Experience in supporting families and strong Clinical Assessment skills
  • Demonstrated ability to implement Parenting Programs (Triple P, 123 Magic)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement therapeutic interventions with children and young people with behavioural difficulties
  • Ability to work flexible hours and independently

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in Out-of-Home-Care – Foster Care and Residential
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience in providing staff and client training

Assistant in Nursing

We currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Assistant in Nursing passionate about making a difference in the mental health field. The shifts will be based in our Eating Disorder Ward where the AIN will monitor patients overnight, maintain up to date patient files, complete regular patient checks and counsel patients who are in need of support during their stay in hospital. Full training will be provided.
 
Essential Criteria

  • Certificate III or higher in Aged Care or equivalent fields
  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication
  • Vaccination Card
  • Experience with Mental Health and counselling skills

Desirable Criteria

  •  Experience with night duty shift work
