Health, counselling, and accommodation services

Demonstrating care, sensitivity and respect for people at their lowest ebb, Wesley Mission’s Health, counselling and accommodation services group delivers support to at-risk individuals and families through a vast network of mental health facilities, accommodation, gambling or financial counselling, legal services, crisis counselling including Lifeline, and suicide prevention programs.

Health, Counselling and Accommodation Services are comprised of the following:

  • Private Hospitals - Mental health facilities offering inpatient and day patient services in Ashfield and Kogarah. The relaxed, home-like atmosphere of Wesley Private Hospitals contributes to a positive patient outcome.
  • Gambling Counselling – Free of charge holistic approach giving assistance for gamblers, partners and families suffering from the impact of problem gambling.
  • Financial Counselling – Creditline offers free and confidential assistance and self-help for those facing financial crises without being a lending institution.
  • Legal Services - Specialising in the area of problem gambling, and representing people and their families who have illegally obtained money for gambling. 
  • Lifeline Crisis Counselling – 24-hour telephone assistance in Sydney and Sutherland, delivered by skilled volunteers.
  • LifeForce Suicide Prevention Education – suicide prevention through education, empowerment and utilisation of local networks. It is part of the Commonwealth Government National Suicide Prevention Strategy.
  • Supported Accommodation for the homeless - affordable long, medium and short-term housing and crisis accommodation for homeless families and individuals
  • Rehabilitation Services – an urban therapeutic community offering a safe learning environment for people recovering from addiction lifestyles.
