Wesley Missions Aged Care celebrates stamp of approval for next three years

20 February 2007

Three Wesley Mission Residential Aged Care facilities were recently presented with a Certificate of Accreditation, allowing them to continue operating in the Aged Care Industry for the next three years.

RE Tebbutt Lodge, Hoban House and RJ Williams Lodge were all awarded the significant accreditation. Each facility marked the occasion with a presentation service where staff, volunteers, managers, residents and their families joined together to celebrate the achievement.

Wesley Mission’s superintendent, the Rev Keith Garner also attended the events and spoke to those gathered about the important contribution of all who worked together to make the facilities the caring, supportive and safe environments they were. He congratulated managers, staff, volunteers and residents for maintaining the homes to such a high standard.

Each residential home was presented with the certificate as well as a commemorative gift of a framed picture to mark the accreditation. And what celebration would be complete without a delicious cake to be cut in honour of the event for all to enjoy with a cup of tea after the official proceedings.

“This Certificate of Accreditation is a great achievement for us, “said Wesley Mission’s Operations Manager for Residential Aged Care Services, Jodie O’Sullivan. “It confirms that our Aged Care facilities meet the legislative requirements they need to. We are committed to providing a quality service to our residents as we put into practice Wesley Mission’s core values of helping people, building hope and honouring God.

“It is an honour to be recognised for this and we will strive to continue to exceed the expectations of our clients by offering quality improvements, applying the best practices and creating a positive and supportive culture at our residential homes.”
