Wesley Mission care work aided by Nexia Court & Co. sponsorship

12 June 2007

Nexia Court & Co., a valued partner of Wesley Mission, this year assumed the responsibility of sponsoring the Mission’s Corporate Citizenship Award for 2007, helping to secure much-needed support for caring for people suffering hardship.

The award is given to a person or organisation which has shown an exemplary awareness of social responsibility in the way it supports Wesley Mission with program support, volunteering or goods in kind.

This year’s award went to Grant Goldman, the popular Breakfast presenter of Radio 2SM and the Super Network, who has shown a genuine interest in community and social issues, and supports the Mission over issues such as LifeForce suicide prevention, the financial stress campaign, homelessness, mental health issues, youth problems, etc. He has provided first-rate, professional coverage of the Mission’s work.

Nexia Court & Co., Wesley Mission’s official independent auditor, generously discounting its auditing and accounting services to the Mission, fully understands the importance of securing corporate partnerships of integrity that would expand care programs for those suffering hardship.

Ian Stone, Managing Partner of Nexia Court & Co., made the award to Grant Goldman at Wesley Mission’s annual Spirit of Mission dinner on 31 May to the applause of the Mission’s major donors.
