Reserve Bank Governor to speak of faith and finance at Wesley Mission Easter Breakfast
29 March 2010
Faith which faces life’s challenges is an appropriate theme for this year’s Wesley Mission’s Easter Breakfast as the Governor of the Reserve Bank of Australia, Glenn Stevens, will talk about how his faith impacts his life.
As the voice of the Reserve Bank, Glenn Stevens makes decisions which affect the lives of 22 million Australians.
The Easter Breakfast, which attracts some of Sydney’s leading business and community leaders, is part of Wesley Mission’s Easter Mission which begins on Palm Sunday and runs until Easter Sunday.
“As the world recovers from a year of financial instability, as the people of Haiti rebuild after a devastating earthquake and family life is under pressure as never before, the message is relevant and appropriate for the modern world,” said the Superintendent of Wesley Mission, the Rev Keith Garner.
“Easter Breakfast is part of a long tradition at Wesley Mission, bringing together members of the business community, parishioners and Wesley Mission to share in a meal and reflect upon the hope and the new beginning of Easter.”
