Wesley School for Seniors
The Wesley School for Seniors allows people over the age of 55 years to attend a unique school right in the heart of the Sydney CBD.
Situated at the Wesley Centre on 220 Pitt Street, the Wesley School for Seniors provides a safe haven for people to sustain their mind, body and soul with a variety of leisure and learning activities.
The Wesley School for Seniors has been operating since 1969 and is the largest and longest running school of its type in New South Wales.
The school currently has an average of five hundred and fifty students per term and offers about a hundred courses, which are held five days a week, Monday to Friday between 8:30am and 4pm.
Terms
Enrolments are held during the last two (2) weeks of the term.
The (term) fees at present are $50.00 per term for a maximum of ten (10) courses. Each term takes between 9 and 10 weeks. The School has four (4) terms a year, following the NSW School calendar, although each term finishes one week ahead.

Wesley School for Seniors offers a cross section of courses, in order to keep the mind and body healthy. These include:
Languages: French, Spanish, German, Latin, Mandarin, Greek and Italian
Dancing: Belly, Ballroom and Latin, Line, Tap, Square, English Country, Scottish Country, American Contra and Bollywood.
Music: Piano, Choir, Singers, Karaoke Sing-a-long, Classical Music, Recorders and Music Theory, Guitar, Popular Music Appreciation.
Arts: Art for Beginners (mostly oil), Water Colour, Drawing, Quilling, Origami and Parchment Paper Art
Physical Well-being: Gentle Exercises, Exercises, Stretch Exercises, Guided Meditation, Indoor Bowls, Massage for Relaxation
History: Australian, Classical, Egyptian and Church
Christianity and Faith: Introduction to Christian Studies and Alpha Program
Computer and Digital Media: Email and Internet, Protection and maintenance,
Creation of documents, spreadsheets and power point presentations and social media (such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Skype)
Digital Tools: workshops on Mobile phones, iPhones, iPads, eReaders
Table Games: Table Tennis, Chess, Mah-jong, Scrabble and Double 9 Domino
Card Games: Rubber Bridge, American Standard Bridge and Canasta
Craft: Knitting, Appliqué, Quilting, Crochet, Tunisian Crochet, Garment Creation, Bag Creation
English Language: Creative Story Writing, Literature, Poetry, Shakespeare, Speech and Expression, Effective Speaking and Forum, Debating, Public Speaking, Players (Acting), Acting Workshop, The Spoken Word, Memoir Writing
