Wesley Institute will be holding it’s annual Education Open Day on:

The Graduate Diploma in Education (Secondary) and (Primary) courses at Wesley Institute are taught from a distinctively Christian perspective. The courses are delivered primarily through distance education. If you are considering a career in teaching you may want to find out more about this course,  and if so we would like to invite you to our Education Open Day. 

This Open Day will give you an opportunity to meet with the Head of Education, Pam Harvey, and Julie Mathews, Director of Teaching and Learning and some of the other lecturers in the course.  
 
Held on the Wesley Institute campus parking is available at the rear of the building (off Millar Street).
 
The program for the day will include sessions on:

• An overview of the Graduate Diploma in Education – Primary and Secondary courses,
• The Wesley Institute Student Portal (WISP) used for electronic submission of assignments, announcements, discussion forums etc.
• A campus tour,
• The teaching practicum.
  

Sessions will repeated at intervals throughout the day and you are welcome to come at any time from 10.30 am to 2.00 pm. There will be the opportunity for you to ask questions during the sessions as well as in an informal setting over morning tea (10.30 – 11.00 am) and lunch (12.30 pm – 1.00 pm) both of which will be provided.
