Talking With Theology Graduate Daniel Maron

15 April 2008

How did WI impact your development as a Christian?

"Wesley has helped me with many tools to grow as a Christian. The Theological course was very inspiring and realistic. You find great teachers and the classes were never boring. Last year I had the privilege of working closely together with Peter Davis in a preaching internship where I went to speak in many churches. These experiences were extremely vital to my ministry, I learnt so much. Wesley Institute is a place where you build lifelong relationships with the teachers, staff members and students. Finally I would like to mention that I see Wesley Institute as a family, where everybody is welcome and ready to help."

What is it that keeps you pressing on and passionate for the future, despite difficulties?

"I would have to say God. During the first year after my motorcycle accident, many times I felt like giving up, but God always used someone to give me direction. For example, my family members, friends and people I have met. I have learnt to listen."

How do you find managing your disability within your daily life?

"I have learnt that IMPOSSIBLE doesn't exist. You have to find ways to make things possible! It's all about trying to find something new or to learn from others. God gave gifts of creativity to everyone. We must search for these gifts."

What are your plans and vision for the future?

"I have just been accepted to study law at UTS. I believe that will be a new journey in my life, a journey where I'm going to meet many people searching for law and legal rights. God calls us to bless others, and I see my new course as a possibility to bless many people. Although I'm a little frightened by this new direction in my life, at the same time I'm extremely excited by the future."
