This week the Rev Dr Rick Dacey explores Jesus Christ’s response to the question the disciples asked about why a man was born blind. In the disciples’ words we hear echoed our own questions about suffering. As Christ speaks of the work of God in these circumstances and His own mission as light of the world, He also acts in hope, love and compassion. While even our best answers cannot explain the pain in the world, we can all share in Christ’s response, and see that people are more important than issues. As we demonstrate our concern about issues of homelessness or financial stress, our love for the people affected should motivate us.
