Our suicide prevention workshops are based on the latest research in suicide prevention, and are designed to help people identify the signs that someone may be at risk of suicide and educate them on how to respond.
Simple effective interventions can make a real difference and save lives. All of our facilitators are accredited trainers and have completed suicide intervention training. Many are also accredited counsellors.
Our training has been evaluated to be ‘robust and effective’ by the Australian Institute for Suicide Research and Prevention (AISRAP). Read the report here. Also, our training is clinically endorsed and has been reviewed by the Mindframe National Media Initiative, which is managed by the Everymind institute.
Community members are welcome to attend. Clinical and/or previous mental health training is not essential to attend the course. Full-day and half-day workshops are available. Please note that workshops may not be suitable for those recently bereaved by suicide.
Check out the calendar for a list of upcoming dates and to register for community suicide prevention training.
