Treatment for drug addiction

Addiction to drugs occurs when a person loses the ability to control their drug use. This loss of control leads to negative consequences, not only for the user, but also for their family and friends.

Without treatment, drug abuse and dependence can cause great loneliness, depression and shame. A person’s physical and mental health deteriorates, impacting their ability to work and study effectively. Often, legal and financial problems also accompany drug addiction.
