Lifeline, created by Wesley Mission, celebrated its 50 year anniversary in 2013. Wesley Suicide Prevention Services continues to operate Lifeline Sydney & Sutherland. Lifeline’s telephone crisis support and suicide prevention service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for the cost of a local call (mobile phone calls are free of charge).
Somewhere in Australia there is a new call to Lifeline every minute. At Lifeline Sydney & Sutherland we answer more than 24,000 calls each year. The centre is owned and operated by Wesley Mission and is one of 37 centres accredited by Lifeline Australia.
