Welcome to Wesley School for Seniors

Origins

Wesley School for Seniors offers people over the age of 55 the opportunity to extend their skills and keep active through a variety of leisure, lifestyle and educational courses.

Wesley School for Seniors is the largest and longest running school of its kind in New South Wales. It was launched by Wesley Mission in 1969 as an innovative experiment in aged care provision in response to an increase in the number of healthy, active retirees in society that were eager to grow in new and exciting ways.

In addition to our main location in the Sydney CBD we now have School for Seniors operating from Alan Walker Village in Carlingford.

Commitment to care

The range of subjects offered and the quality of teaching make Wesley School for Seniors cutting edge centres for learning. Tutors volunteer their time and bring a wealth of experience to their field. Some are retired university lecturers. Others have been craftspeople for many years.

Wesley School for Seniors’ tutors are passionate and enthusiastic and go out of their way to help students achieve their best.

Wesley Mission is committed to enhancing the spiritual, emotional, physical and mental wellbeing of older people through the opportunities for personal development that Wesley School for Seniors brings.
