Drug Action Week

12 May 2013 Wesley Impact! TV

This week on Wesley Impact! TV we hear Justin Gardner's moving story and the Rev Dr Keith Garner explores Luke's Gospel.

Justin’s story
Now a pastor of a church, Justin Gardner has come a long way from his hard upbringing and difficult relationship with his father. The pain and low self-esteem Justin felt from an early age led him into a dark place where he felt lost, alone and without anyone to turn to. Justin remembers the moment he called out to God for help and felt his call was heard.

Wesley Mission story—Wesley Operation Hope
We take a look at our Wesley Operation Hope program and what it is doing to offer help and guidance to youth in need. Wesley Operation Hope is a sponsorship program designed to support children from 10 to 16 who have faced hard times. For Sinead, family breakdown led to years of bullying at school. We hear Sinead’s story and how Wesley Operation Hope offered her hope when she needed it most. Sinead has learnt to believe in herself again and gain the confidence she needs to develop a positive outlook on life.

Keith's reflection
The Rev Dr Keith Garner leads this week’s sermon with a reading from Luke’s Gospel.
