Honouring the men in our lives

11 August 2013 Wesley Impact! TV

This week on Wesley Impact! TV we meet Ian 'Watto' Watson and the Rev Dr Keith Garner explores Luke's Gospel.

Ian's story
Shed Happens ministry founder Ian ‘Watto’ Watson has spent the last decade setting up ‘sheds’ all across the country. Watto shares with Wesley Mission CEO/Superintendent the Rev Dr Keith Garner how God laid on his heart the idea to get men together through Shed Nights. A truck driving trainer by trade, Watto's desire is to connect with men and enable them to talk about real issues in a non-threatening environment. Shed Happens is a safe and non-judgmental place where men can learn from other men, enjoy each other's company and share their faith journeys.

Wesley Mission story—Mentoring workshop
We take a close look at how one unique shed is working to build mentoring relationships between young and old. Wesley Mission’s men’s workshop is one of our popular programs where volunteers mentor children in a tool shed setting.

Keith's reflection
The Rev Dr Keith Garner leads this week’s sermon with a reading from the Gospel of Luke.

Guest performers
We welcome Leigh Cunningham to the stage this week. Leigh has gone from humble beginnings as a singer to creating his own successful band. Greg Attwells also joins us on Wesley Impact! TV. Greg is a seasoned performer of indie, folk and worship music and has a deep desire to lead others to the feet of Jesus Christ with his music.
